MGS3S - METAL GEAR 2 WALKTHROUGH


Zanzibar Building
After contact with Colonel Campbell, go up, then right. Get B1 RATION from the truck, then crawl through the hole in the fence.
Go leftward to find hole in the second fence.
Go rightward to find a hole in the third fence.
Once you reach building, go to the right end, get HANDGUN from the truck.
Enter the building by crawling in the duct.
At the left end of the duct is AMMO, but you need to enter the building from the right end of the duct.
At the center of the building is the ELEVATOR.
Ride the elevator up to 2F.
Go right, in the open door is CARD 1.
In the closed door (Card 1) above the open door is BINOCULARS.
At the top right corner of 2F is a B2 RATION.
At the bottom left corner of 2F is a AMMO.
Ride the right elevator up to 3F.
Enter top right door (Card 1).
Go all the way up and enter the door at the top right corner (Card 1).
Visualize and avoid the ground sensor by equipping the TOBACCO.
Note the GARBAGE SHOOT hole on the top wall.
Go down 2 screens.
Enter the top right door (Card 1) and get the GAS MASK.
Return to the elevator.
Enter bottom door (Card 1).
Go to the bottom end. Two doors, enter top door (Card 1).
Equip GAS MASK.
Go to the end. Two doors, enter left door (Card 1).
Battle BLACK COLOR (BLACK NINJA).
Defeat him and receive CARD 2.
Before searching for the soldier wearing a GREEN BERET, you can use the Card 2 to retrieve some items.
Enter the top door (Card 2). Go all the way up, and right. Enter door (Card 2) and get MINE DETECTOR.
Go all the way left, door (Card 1), all the way down, door (Card 1).
Ride the elevator down to 2F.
Go left, in the door (Card 2) is the SUPPRESSOR.
Ride the left elevator down to B1.
From the elevator, go up. In the bottom left open door is the INFRARED GOGGLES. In the top right door (Card 1) are AMMOs.
From the elevator, go down (Card 2). In the bottom left door (Card 1) are PLASTIC EXPLOSIVEs.
Go right 1 screen. In the bottom door (Card 2) is the SUB MACHINE GUN.
Ride the elevator down to B2.
Go down (Card 1), follow the path to the end. Through this door (Card 1) is the GARBAGE DISPOSAL. Remember the GARBAGE SHOOT hole in 3F, if you crawled into that hole you would have dropped down here.
In the GARBAGE DISPOSAL, garbage falls down from the garbage shoot, which you can pick up, and randomly get RATIONs. But you must be quick, because the garbage roller will activate when garbage appears, and if it touches you it is instant death.
You can stock up your inventory with RATIONS by reentering the GARBAGE DISPOSAL multiple times.
Ride the left elevator up to 2F, then ride the right elevator back down to 1F, to look for the soldier wearing a GREEN BERET.
Go to the top left corner of 1F.
Enter the door up the steps (Card 2).
The soldier wearing a Green Beret will be there. Follow him carefully without him noticing you. If he notices you, you'll have to come back here and start all over again.
Follow him all the way through the forest, until you reach the small holding building.
Enter the holding building (Card 2), and hear sequenced taps through the wall. Use the TAP CODE CHART in the instruction booklet to decipher the tap code.
Use the radio frequency (140.82)to contact DR PETTROVICH MADNAR.




Tower Building
From the front entrance, go right. Get the CARDBOARD BOX from the truck. Equip it in front of the conveyer belt and ride it inside the building.
After receiving Holly's radio contact, advance from the storage area. Enter the 2nd elevator you meet.
Ride the elevator down to B1.
There are AMMO and PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES in the first two doors (Card 2 & Card 3).
Enter the fourth door (Card 1). Detonate a PLASTIC EXPLOSIVE on the right wall and enter to rescue Holly. After the event, she will give you CARD 4.
Return to the elevator and ride it back up to 1F.
Upon exit the elevator, go right to backtrack to the 1st elevator from the storage area.
Ride the elevator up to 10F.
Punch to find the strange sounding spot on the bottom wall, to the right. Set PLASTIC EXPLOSIVE, enter.

In the door on the right (Card 1) are B1 RATION, AMMO, and PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES.
In the door on the left (Card 4) are GRENADES.
Return to the elevator. Ride it back up to 1F.
Upon exit the elevator, go left and follow the path all the way to its end, ride the elevator there up to 30F.
Battle RED BLASTER.
Run at the road blocks to break them and widen your accessible area.
Defeat RED BLASTER with GRENADES.
A door to the left will open after RED BLASTER is defeated.
Go through the door and up the stairs to the Roof.
Find the strange sounding spot at the middle of the wall, place PLASTIC EXPLOSIVE, enter.
Capture Dr Kio Marv's pigeon. Contact Yozef Norden (Yakovsen) for a hint.
Decipher the coded message on the paper. Contact Master for a hint.
Radio Dr Kio Marv using the frequency.
After the sequence, go back downstairs, and ride the elevator back to 1F.
Upon exit the elevator, go left, enter the first elevator you meet, and ride it down to B1.
Go down the steps into the water, and ride the drift all the way down.
At the bottom left corner, turn right, and enter the first narrow water path you meet.
Follow the narrow water path, go up the steps, go right, and enter the door.
You are now back in Zanzibar Building B2.
Zanzibar Building
Ride the elevator up to B1 REMOTE CONTROL MISSILE BODY ARMOR

3F NIGHT VISION GOGGLES

Get BUCKET in the Men's Toilet.
After the soldier enters the Women's Toilet, go in after her.
After the event, ride the elevator in the Women's Toilet down to the underground sewers, and head for the elevator at the Top Left of the area.
Be careful of the cleaning machines, one touch is instand death.
Ride the elevator up and join with Dr Madnar Pettrovich.
Get CARD 5 from Pettrovich.
Return down to the underground sewers, and head for the door at the Top Right of the area.
Enter the door (Card 5) and go all the way up until you reach another elevator.
Ride the elevator up to the ground floor.
Head towards the Top Left of the area, equip the MINE DETECTOR to avoid stepping onto mines.
You can not crawl while escorting, so avoid the mines.
When trying to cross the bridge, an event will happen.
Get BROOCH and CARD 6 after the event.
Backtrack, crawl to disable the land mines, and recover various items from the numerous trucks.
Head for the door at the Bottom Left of the area, enter the door (Card 6) and enter the Tower Building.

Go in the doors in the following order:
2nd from bottom left.
Top right (Card 1).
Top left (Card 2).
2nd from bottom right (Card 3).
Bottom right (Card 4).
2nd from top right (Card 4).
